I am proud to be from the UK as I think it is such a beautiful country and has so much rich history within it. I have visited quite a few places but there are many more that I want to explore and I am looking forward to doing this once the lockdown is over. These ten places are either holiday like destinations or day trip places if you are staying in a nearby area.
1.London
I have been to London quite a few times now and every time I love it more and more. Even to the point that my boyfriend and I are looking to live there in the future. I love how busy it feels and that there is never a dull moment. If you are looking to go here for a tourist holiday then there are many places you can go like the london eye, Buckingham Palace, a bus tour and most importantly M&M World! There really is endless places to visit but my absolute favourite was Harrods as for me it was a whole other world, I love all things fashion related so to see all these expensive brands was a shock and very exciting.
2.Polzeath
Now I have been here a fair few times because it is a stunning holiday destination as it seems like a small area but it is stunning and full of the necessities. My family is one for a camping holiday and this is the perfect place for it. The only thing I would say is on a hot summer's day it can get absolutely packed and there won't be any wriggle room in the water. So, if you are looking to go surfing either go in the morning or the evening as at mid-day you won't have a chance. I mean you can see this photo and just understand it's absolute beauty.
3. Gwynedd, Wales
This is a stunning place near Snowdonia. It is especially beautiful during winter, my family and I were able to stay here at Graig Wen, we stayed in one of the houses and it was beautiful and they allow dogs which is such a huge benefit for us! I would highly recommend staying here if you want a beautiful icy christmas. Wales is generally stunning and I am someone who loves nature so to take walks in through the fields and beaches in the cold winter was one of my favourite things. I cannot wait to go back there and hopefully during the summer so I can enjoy the coastlines in the warmth. Also, I would massively recommend staying at Graig Wen as their houses are so beautifully simple.
4.Bath
I went to Bath for a spa trip for my birthday and it was amazing. If you are looking for a girls trip that includes spa treatments, shopping and dinner out, you are in the perfect place as it is perfect. Even in the photo you can see its rich history and the fact that all the building is made with the same limestone. So, Bath really can be a holiday destination for many different reasons. I really did love staying here. Especially because they have a Nando's and I had it as my birthday meal. It was great. They also have the best shops and it is a great walk through the beautiful city that also includes their university.
5.Lake District
This place is perfect for a nature trip away from normal life, that is full of beautiful trails and lakes. I have visited here a few times and have loved it every time. My favourite thing to do here is cycling around the area and enjoying the warmth and sun on my face whilst taking in the view. Then, finally finding a restaurant to have lunch in. I really do think this location is perfect every month of the year, especially summer or winter as they are the most picturesque seasons. I personally know that summer is gorgeous in these areas.
6.Penzance
Penzance is such a stunning town within Cornwall. It has some beautiful shops and as you can see in the photo some gorgeous waters. It is a typical Cornish Ocean town and really does have the best summers. The town centre is always busy and can really make you feel like you are on a mediterranean holiday but you are just in the beautiful coast of England. I would highly recommend packing a pair or two of shorts as they will definitely be needed as they are lucky when it comes to summer weather.
7.Eden Project
I think this is an amazing experience as it is such a cool idea. This is more of a day trip then a holiday destination. It is so different from anywhere else you can go to as it is so environmental orientated. It is so cool to see their different biomes and depending on the season there will be different events going on like concerts, beach hut competitions and ice skating. It is such a fun place that has so many different types of biomes that can be so fun to adventure. They also have organic items to buy like chocolate and cups. and it is so interesting to see how they can create different environments within a biome. This is somewhere that can create a great day out for all ages.
8. Loch Ness, Scotland.
Now, this is a place I have never been to but always wanted to. My Nan is Scottish so she has told me about the beauty of Scotland and you can even see in the photo how beautiful the place is. I think we have gathered by now that I am a big fan of all things nature so a place like Scotland is definitely one I want to see. The Lake has always attracted me because of learning about the suspected monster that lurked there and I love all these stories that may or may not be real.
9. Stonehenge
This is another one of those places that is so rich with history so I am dying to go see it. I have driven past it a couple times now but I still haven't had the chance to walk through it. When I get the chance I will definitely do my research when I go there so I can know what people believe it is and how it was formed. It is an English luxury to have this.
10.Isle of Wight
Finally, the Isle of Wight is small and quaint but beautiful. This is another place I dream to go to as it just seems like and old-time kind of place as they have older buildings and nature. I also want to surf in the water on their gorgeous sandy beaches. It really seems like a cute weekend getaway that I plan to do with my boyfriend in the future.
In conclusion, there are many different places within the UK that are stunning and I am so lucky to be surrounded by. So, if you are from the UK or another country there are so many new places to enjoy that are worthwhile and stunning. So enjoy the journey.
Many thanks,
Jessica-Jayne.
