My Favourite Fruit Infusions

Writer's picture: Jessica-Jayne Jessica-Jayne

You may have seen on my instagram story recently that I got a new Mango water bottle. It is so good. But, since getting it, it has made me want to do more infusions. So, I thought I would take you through some of my favourite infusions that I have tried over the years. I have included one or two that are not per-say my favourite but are still very nice. They are also great for detoxing your body. I find this helps me to drink a lot more water and this surprisingly gives me so much more energy.

Cucumber and strawberry

As you can see from the photo above, this combination of fruit is mouth watering. It is so refreshing and if you get the strawberries in the right season this will be so so easy to drink, as I am writing this I have already drunk two of these in the space of 30 minutes because it tastes so nice. It really is a summer infusion. You can adapt this to how you want, but I like to have more strawberry than cucumber, this is just due to the fact that cucumber is (surprisingly) quite a strong taste so I like to reduce it and add more strawberries. So, if you prefer a weaker strength then add less cucumber and more strawbs!

Lemon and strawberry

If you are looking for an infusion that helps with weight loss, I have read that lemon can really help contribute to this. I can't say whether this is a true fact or not but it tastes so nice, so it's just something that contributes. Lemon and strawberry is so nice as it is that perfect sweet and sour and personally I love to have more lemon than strawberry in this case. I would also recommend to have fresh lemon instead of lemon juice. This is just due to the fact that lemon juice tends to be a lot sharper.

Cucumber and mint and strawberry

Now, this is my favourite combination as it is such a summer drink and it is so satisfying to drink. Mint can be quite subtle so you can have it in moderation or pile it in. I unfortunately haven't had this infusion in ages and I miss it so much. I had it when I used to sunbathe and read the After Books. (If you haven't already, check out my review of the After Books https://jayneh0907.wixsite.com/myblog/post/the-after-series-review) This is the one infusion that has always made me feel the best after drinking it.

Raspberries and lemon

Now, if I am being honest raspberries has never been my favourite fruit because they are quite sharp and 'furry'. But they are nice lush in water, especially joining it with lemon. If you like to have a sharp drink then this is probably the perfect drink for you.

Cucumber and orange

This is one I have only had a couple times. This one is lush. The only bit I didn't like about this drink is the fact that after one new refill then it becomes very very bitsy and personally I am not keen on that. But, if you like that then you will adore it. Orange is a great citrusy fruit that isn't as sharp as lemon but is still quite strong and refreshing in the water.

Kiwi and strawberry

This is such a fun and interesting infusion. This is because kiwi isn't a fruit I tend to have often so to have it as an infusion is so so nice. Just be prepared to have to drink seeds! It's so fun and it is so nice to have when you are on holiday. This is especially good when you have that warm glossy tan in your swimwear and you just drink it whilst lying in the sun and you are so beyond relaxed. Trust me, it is best to have it then!

So, these are my six infusions that are so nice and will make you feel cleansed and energised all throughout the day. Also, you may notice that I have an addiction to strawberries. They are my favourite and I think they make the water so much sweeter. I hope this helps you on your journey with fruit water infusions!

Many thanks,

Jessica-Jayne.
